Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK

Disconnect all power sources before installation or maintenance. Work must be performed by qualified personnel only. Failure to comply with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures can result in severe injury or death. Ensure the unit is properly grounded according to local and national electrical codes.

  1. 1 De-energize Equipment: Safely de-energize the control cabinet and verify the absence of voltage using a calibrated meter. Follow all site-specific LOTO procedures.
  2. 2 Prepare Panel Cutout: Verify that the panel cutout dimensions match the PC 670's requirements. Ensure the mounting surface is clean, flat, and rigid enough to support the unit's weight.
  3. 3 Mount the Unit: Insert the Panel PC into the cutout from the front. Install and tighten the mounting clamps from the rear, applying even pressure to create a secure seal against the panel gasket. Do not overtighten.
  4. 4 Connect Protective Earth: Connect a dedicated protective earth (PE) or grounding wire to the designated grounding terminal on the Panel PC chassis. This is a critical safety connection.
  5. 5 Connect Power and Peripherals: Connect the 115-230V AC mains cable to the unit's power input. Connect any required communication cables (e.g., Ethernet, serial) and I/O devices.
  6. 6 Commission and Test: Remove LOTO devices and re-energize the cabinet. Verify the Panel PC boots correctly and establishes communication with other system components. Test all HMI functions before returning the system to service.
