Installation Guidelines
CRITICAL WARNING: Hazardous voltages are present. Installation must be performed by qualified personnel only. Disconnect and lock out all power sources before installation or maintenance to prevent electric shock and equipment damage. This device may contain components sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD); use appropriate grounding measures.
-
1
De-energize System: Ensure the control cabinet and all related machinery are completely de-energized and locked out according to safety procedures before beginning work.
-
2
Prepare Panel Cutout: Verify that the panel cutout dimensions match the device's installation requirements. Ensure the mounting surface is clean, flat, and rigid.
-
3
Mount the Unit: Insert the Panel PC into the cutout from the front of the panel. Ensure the front bezel gasket is properly seated against the panel surface to maintain the ingress protection rating.
-
4
Secure Mounting Clamps: From the rear, install and tighten the mounting clamps evenly in a crisscross pattern to ensure uniform pressure on the gasket. Do not overtighten.
-
5
Connect Protective Earth (PE): Connect a low-impedance protective earth conductor to the designated PE terminal on the chassis. This is critical for safety and noise immunity.
-
6
Connect Power and Peripherals: Connect the main power supply cable. Connect all required communication, USB, and other peripheral cables. Ensure proper cable strain relief.
-
7
Final System Check: After closing the cabinet, remove the lockout/tagout devices and re-energize the system. Verify the Panel PC boots correctly and establishes communication.
