Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: Electrical Hazard. Disconnect and lock out all power sources before installation or servicing. Installation must be performed by qualified personnel familiar with industrial control panel standards and practices. Failure to comply can result in severe injury or equipment damage.
  1. Prepare Panel Cutout: Verify the enclosure or panel has a correctly sized and clean cutout for the PC 670. Ensure the mounting surface is flat and free of debris to guarantee a proper seal.
  2. Mount the Unit: Insert the Panel PC into the cutout from the front. Secure it from the rear using the provided mounting clamps, tightening them evenly to the manufacturer's specified torque to avoid warping the bezel.
  3. Establish Ground Connection: Connect the chassis ground terminal on the Panel PC to the enclosure's main protective earth (PE) bus bar using a low-impedance conductor. This is critical for both safety and noise immunity.
  4. Connect Power and Peripherals: With the main power source de-energized, connect the AC mains cable to the unit's power input. Connect any required communication cables (e.g., Ethernet, serial) and peripherals. Ensure proper cable strain relief.
  5. Power-Up and Verification: After verifying all connections are secure and correct, remove the lockout/tagout and re-energize the main power circuit. Observe the Panel PC for a successful boot sequence.
