Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: Electrical Hazard. Disconnect all power sources and implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures before installation or servicing. Installation must be performed by qualified personnel only. Failure to de-energize the system can result in severe injury or death.
  1. 1 Prepare Panel Cutout: Ensure the mounting cutout in the industrial enclosure meets the dimensional requirements for the Panel PC 670. Deburr all sharp edges to prevent damage to gaskets and ensure a proper seal.
  2. 2 Mount the Unit: Insert the Panel PC into the cutout from the front of the enclosure. Secure it from the rear using the provided mounting clamps, tightening them evenly to the manufacturer's specified torque to maintain the IP rating. Do not overtighten.
  3. 3 Establish Ground Connection: Connect the chassis ground terminal on the rear of the unit to the main protective earth (PE) busbar of the enclosure using a low-impedance conductor. A reliable ground connection is critical for safety and noise immunity.
  4. 4 Connect DC Power: Connect the 24 V DC power supply to the designated power input terminals. Verify correct polarity (+/-) before energizing the circuit. Use appropriately sized wiring and ensure the power source is stable and within the specified voltage range.
  5. 5 Verify Ventilation: Ensure adequate clearance around the rear of the unit for heat dissipation. Do not block ventilation openings. In high-temperature environments, consider forced-air cooling within the enclosure to maintain reliable operation.
