Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK AND EQUIPMENT DAMAGE

This equipment must be installed and serviced by qualified personnel only. Disconnect all power sources before installation or maintenance. Failure to observe this precaution can result in severe injury or death. Ensure the unit is properly grounded according to local electrical codes.

  1. 1 De-energize the control cabinet and implement lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures before beginning installation.
  2. 2 Verify the panel cutout dimensions match the Panel PC's mounting requirements. Ensure the mounting surface is clean, flat, and free of debris.
  3. 3 Insert the Panel PC into the cutout and secure it evenly using all provided mounting clamps. Do not over-tighten the clamps to avoid deforming the bezel.
  4. 4 Connect a dedicated protective earth (PE) or functional ground wire to the chassis grounding terminal. A low-impedance ground connection is essential for noise immunity and safety.
  5. 5 Connect the 24 V DC power supply, ensuring correct polarity is observed. Use appropriately sized conductors for the load and distance from the power supply.
  6. 6 Connect Ethernet, PROFIBUS, USB, and any other required communication or peripheral cables. Route cables to minimize strain and avoid interference from high-power lines.
  7. 7 After verifying all connections, remove LOTO devices and re-energize the cabinet. Power on the Panel PC and confirm that the operating system boots correctly.
