Description

This is the Siemens 6ES7193-6BP00-0DA0, a Type A0 BaseUnit for the SIMATIC ET 200SP distributed I/O system. It serves as the mounting and termination base for ET 200SP I/O modules, providing 16 push-in terminals for rapid, tool-free connection of field wiring. With a compact width of only 15 mm, this BaseUnit is designed for high-density control cabinet layouts. It supports a continuous potential group, allowing power to be passed directly to subsequent modules. The design includes robust electrical isolation tested at 707 V DC between the backplane bus and the power supply, enhancing system safety and signal integrity.

Features

  • Designed for the Siemens SIMATIC ET 200SP distributed I/O family.
  • Features 16 push-in terminals for efficient, tool-free wiring.
  • Space-saving 15 mm width for high-density panel configurations.
  • Enables a continuous potential group for simplified power distribution.
  • Requires external fusing for the 24 V DC power supply lines.

Applications

  • Factory and Process Automation
  • Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
  • Machine Building and OEM Equipment

Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK

Disconnect and lock out all power sources to the control panel before installation, removal, or wiring of this module. Failure to de-energize the system can result in severe injury or death.

  1. Verify that the mounting location is clean, dry, and free from excessive vibration. Ensure a reliable, low-impedance protective earth (PE) connection is available at the DIN rail.
  2. Mount the BaseUnit onto a standard 35 mm DIN rail. Hook the top edge onto the rail and press down firmly until the bottom latch clicks securely into place.
  3. Slide the BaseUnit adjacent to the previous module in the ET 200SP station, ensuring the side connectors are properly aligned and engaged to establish the backplane bus connection.
  4. Insert the corresponding ET 200SP I/O module onto the BaseUnit until it is fully seated.
  5. Terminate field device wiring. Strip wire insulation to the correct length and insert the conductor fully into the appropriate push-in terminal until it stops. Verify a secure mechanical connection.
  6. After all connections are made and verified, close the control panel door, remove the lockout/tagout device, and re-energize the system according to standard procedures.
