Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: This equipment must be installed, serviced, and maintained only by qualified personnel. Failure to follow safety procedures can result in severe personal injury, death, or equipment damage. Always de-energize and lock out/tag out (LOTO) all power sources before handling the module.
  1. 1 Ensure the control cabinet and subrack are fully de-energized and verified to be at a zero-energy state using a calibrated voltmeter.
  2. 2 Use a properly grounded electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap and connect it to a verified earth ground point on the cabinet chassis before unpacking or handling the module.
  3. 3 Identify the correct slot in the TELEPERM M rack for the interface module. Visually inspect the backplane connector pins for any damage or debris.
  4. 4 Align the module with the card guides in the rack and slide it gently into position until the backplane connector makes firm contact. Do not force the module.
  5. 5 Secure the module to the rack using its integrated locking mechanism or retaining screws to prevent loosening due to vibration.
  6. 6 Connect the CS 275 local bus cable to the corresponding port on the module's front panel. Ensure the connector is fully seated and secured.
