Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: This is legacy hardware. The internal hard disk drive contains mechanical parts that are sensitive to shock and age. Handle the unit with extreme care. Always perform a full data backup before integrating into a live system.
  1. 1 Ensure all power to the installation cabinet is disconnected and locked out (LOTO) before beginning installation.
  2. 2 Verify mounting clearances around the PC chassis, ensuring adequate space for airflow and cable routing as specified for the enclosure.
  3. 3 Securely mount the Box PC to the panel or chassis using all designated mounting points. Do not overtighten fasteners.
  4. 4 Connect a low-impedance protective earth (PE) conductor to the designated grounding terminal on the PC chassis. This is critical for safety and noise immunity.
  5. 5 Connect the 24 V DC power supply, ensuring correct polarity. Use appropriately sized conductors for the load.
  6. 6 Connect Ethernet, PROFIBUS/MPI, and any other required peripheral cables. Ensure communication cable shields are properly terminated.
  7. 7 After verifying all connections, restore power to the cabinet and monitor the PC for a successful boot into the operating system.
