  2. 2 Use only the provided Siemens power supply cable. Connect the cable securely to the Field PG's power input port and to a properly grounded mains outlet that matches the UK plug configuration.
  3. 3 Place the device on a stable, flat surface with adequate ventilation around the chassis to prevent overheating during operation.
  4. 4 Power on the device. During the initial boot, select the desired operating system (Windows XP or Windows 7) from the boot menu.
  5. 5 Connect the supplied MPI cable or other required communication cables to the automation hardware only after the Field PG has fully booted and the engineering software is running.
