Description
Designed for intrinsic safety applications, the Weidmuller 8965370000 functions as a highly reliable isolating switch amplifier to transmit digital signals from hazardous areas (Zone 0, 1, 2) to safe areas. This 2-channel module is engineered to process signals from NAMUR sensors or mechanical contacts located in explosive atmospheres, providing complete galvanic isolation between the input, output, power supply, and alarm contacts.
The ACT20X-2HDI-2SDO-RNO-S features integrated line fault detection (LFD) to monitor the input circuits for wire breaks or short circuits. In the event of a fault, the device triggers an alarm relay, ensuring rapid diagnostics and minimizing system downtime. Configuration is easily managed via standard FDT/DTM software, allowing precise customization of operational parameters to match specific process requirements.

Installation Guidelines

Mounting: Mount vertically on a standard TS 35 DIN rail.

Wiring: Ensure strict physical separation between intrinsically safe (Ex i) input wiring and non-intrinsically safe output/power wiring. Maintain a minimum distance of 50 mm between the terminal groups.
