Yokogawa ADM51C-2 is a 16-point connector-type digital output module designed for process control and field output interface execution. The ADM51C-2 operates within CENTUM system I/O module nests to deliver reliable switching signals via transistor contacts to field devices. This module incorporates hold action functionality during on-line maintenance at status output mode to preserve field output integrity.

Features

  • 16 digital output points with connector-style field connections
  • Transistor contact outputs rated up to 30 V DC at 100 mA
  • Supports multiple functional output modes: status output, pulse type output, pulse width output, and time proportional ON/OFF
  • Integrated hold action output mode during on-line maintenance for suffix code -2
  • Signal isolation provided across each individual point
  • Dedicated signal connections via standard KS2 or KS3 cables

Applications

  • Process automation discrete control loops
  • Field actuator and solenoid control
  • Interlocking and status indication systems
  • Sequential output timing and pulse modulation tasks

Installation Guidelines

  • Module Mounting: Install the module directly into a compatible I/O module nest (such as AMN32) within the system rack or cabinet.
  • Cable Connection: Utilize standard KS2 or KS3 cables to establish connections between the connector module and terminal interfaces.
  • Slot Restrictions: When using time-proportioning ON/OFF output mode in an AMN32 nest, two modules can be installed in Slots 1 and 3. If installing only one module in this mode, general ADMC modules can be placed in Slots 3 and 4.
  • Unused Slots: Install T9081CV dummy plates on vacant backboard connector slots within AMN3 nests to protect connectors against environmental corrosion.

Compliance and Certifications

  • Hazardous Area Compliance: Non-Incendive (NI) compliant with CSA Standards for Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D T4 when installed in an approved cabinet with an ANS50/AND50 Node Unit
  • CSA Standards: CSA Standard C22.2-No.157-92, CSA Standard C22.2-No.213-M1987
  • ISA Standard: ISA Standard ISA S12.12 1994
