The Yokogawa AFV30D-A41252 is a 19-inch rack-mountable duplexed Field Control Unit (FCU) designed for CENTUM VP systems using Vnet/IP and FIO. As the core of the control function in a Field Control Station (FCS), the AFV30D-A41252 features dual-redundant power supply modules (PW482) and dual-redundant processor modules (CP471) to ensure high system availability. The unit provides dual-redundant Vnet/IP network communications and supports memory protection during power outages. It accommodates up to 8 I/O modules and manages process control operations within integrated automation environments.

Installation Guidelines

  • Cabinet Requirement: To meet safety and EMC standards, the unit must be installed in a keyed metallic cabinet.
  • Rack Mounting: Secure to a standard 19-inch rack using M5x8 screws and the included insulating bushes.
  • ESB Bus Couplers: For dual-redundant processor configurations, install ESB Bus Coupler Modules (EC401 or EC402) in both slot 7 and slot 8.
  • Optical Repeater Installation: Install pairs of ANT401 or ANT411 modules in slots 1 to 6 from right to left according to branch requirements.
  • Barrier Insulation: If modules with built-in barriers are installed, an insulating partition kit (Part No. T9083ND) must be used.
