The Yokogawa AFV30D-A41152 is a 19-inch rack-mountable Duplexed Field Control Unit (FCU) designed for CENTUM VP control systems. Serving as the core execution unit for Field Control Station (FCS) operations, this unit houses dual-redundant power supplies and processor modules to maintain continuous, high-reliability control performance. The AFV30D-A41152 processes field signals through up to 8 I/O modules and connects with up to 13 ESB bus and optical ESB bus node units (ANB10/ANB11). Communication across system networks is handled via dual-redundant Vnet/IP interfaces using CAT5e or better UTP cabling connected to Layer 2 switches. Main memory protection during power loss is supported through an integrated battery backup system.

Installation Guidelines

  • Install the unit inside a 19-inch rack using eight M5x8 screws and the included insulating bushes.
  • Ensure the unit is mounted in a keyed metallic cabinet to fulfill safety and EMC standards.
  • Connect power, ground, and READY contact output wiring using M4 screw terminals.
  • Connect the dual-redundant Vnet/IP network using CAT5e or higher category UTP cable connected to an external Layer 2 switch.
  • To connect ESB bus node units in a dual-redundant configuration, install ESB Bus Coupler Modules (EC401 or EC402) into both slot 7 and slot 8.
  • For optical ESB bus links, populate Optical ESB Bus Repeater Master Modules (ANT401 or ANT411) sequentially in slots 1 through 6 from right to left.
  • When installing I/O modules with built-in barriers, fit the insulating partition kit (Part No. T9083ND).
