The C6925 series is a direct evolution of older Beckhoff cabinet IPC models. When replacing legacy C69xx units, ensure your current TwinCAT configuration maps correctly to the single-core Celeron architecture. For applications requiring multi-threaded tasks or heavier HMI load, verify CPU allocation limits prior to site commissioning.
Because this controller relies entirely on passive cooling, vertical installation is mandatory to encourage natural convective airflow. Mounting the IPC horizontally or reducing the clear envelope will restrict thermal dissipation, leading to automatic processor throttling or thermal safety shutdowns when ambient enclosure temperatures exceed 50 degC.
Always use a stabilized 24 V DC power supply. High ripple or transient voltage spikes on the primary DC bus can trigger hardware resets. If utilizing the optional UPS expansion, ensure the capacitive or battery storage system is fully calibrated within the operating software to allow safe state saves during unexpected power dropouts.
Mount the IPC vertically on the control cabinet wall using the pre-installed rear mounting plate. Ensure at least 5 cm (2 inches) of free air space above and below the device to permit unrestrained convective cooling.
Connect a functional earth ground directly to the low-resistance grounding bolt located on the chassis housing to minimize EMI and protect sensitive motherboard logic.
Insert the pre-configured CFast card containing the operating system and runtime binaries into the dedicated flash slot before applying primary system power.
Connect the 24 V DC power supply lines to the power terminal plug, checking correct polarity (+ / -) prior to switching on the supply.
