Installation Guidelines

  1. 1 Ensure the control cabinet or mounting panel is fully de-energized and locked out/tagged out (LOTO) before beginning work.
  2. 2 Verify the panel cutout dimensions match the requirements for the IPC 477D 19" display. Ensure the mounting surface is clean, flat, and rigid.
  3. 3 Handle the Panel PC with care, using appropriate Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions such as a grounded wrist strap to prevent damage to sensitive electronic components.
  4. 4 Insert the unit into the panel cutout from the front. Secure it from the rear using the provided mounting clamps, tightening them evenly in a cross-pattern to ensure a uniform seal against the panel gasket.
  5. 5 Connect the protective earth (PE) or chassis ground terminal to the main cabinet ground point using a low-impedance conductor. This is critical for safety and noise immunity.
  6. 6 Connect the AC power supply cable to the unit and a properly rated power source. Ensure the source voltage matches the 110/230V AC rating.
  7. 7 Connect all required communication and peripheral cables, such as Ethernet, USB, and RS-232. Ensure proper cable routing and strain relief.
  8. 8 After verifying all connections are secure, remove the LOTO device and re-energize the cabinet. Power on the Panel PC and confirm proper boot-up and functionality.
