Option Card Insertion

Before beginning physical integration, disconnect all incoming electrical energy supplying the drive chassis. Put on an anti-static wrist strap connected to structural ground. Carefully align the adapter's bus terminals with the specific expansion module rails of the drive control unit and push firmly until seated uniformly, ensuring the internal connections lock completely.

Grounding and EMI Mitigation

Verify that the mounting fastener on the option card makes uniform, uninsulated metal contact with the drive frame housing.
