Designed for decentralized installation directly in harsh industrial environments, the Beckhoff IP2040-B200 digital output module establishes reliable connections between control networks and field-level actuators. This Lightbus Fieldbus Box features 8 digital outputs capable of switching loads up to 2 A per channel, with a cumulative module current of up to 12 A. By operating on the high-speed Lightbus fiber-optic ring system, the unit ensures high noise immunity and fast signal transmission over long distances.
The module is housed in a compact, rugged PA6 polyamide enclosure with an IP65/66/67 protection rating, allowing direct machine mounting without an electrical enclosure. This reduces wiring overhead, simplifies diagnostics, and optimizes space within decentralized automation systems. Connections to the actuators are established via secure 8 mm snap-type connectors, providing robust mechanical stability against shock and vibration.
