The HA-LP11K2-K is designed to pair natively with Mitsubishi MR-J3-11KA or MR-J4-11KA servo amplifiers. When replacing older HA-LP units, verify the encoder cable connector style, as older revisions may require adapter cables (MR-EKCBL or MR-PWCBL series) to interface with newer amplifier generations.
Due to the high rotor inertia (52.5 N-m rated torque), ensure the amplifier's regenerative braking option (such as an external GRZG or FR-ABR resistor) is correctly sized. Insufficient regeneration capacity during rapid deceleration cycles will trigger an "Overvoltage (AL 33)" alarm on the associated MR series drive.
Always use double-shielded twisted-pair cabling for the encoder feedback to prevent high-frequency electromagnetic interference (EMI) from the main motor power lines. Ensure the motor frame is grounded directly to the control panel's common ground busbar using a low-impedance strap.
CRITICAL WARNING:
Ensure all primary three-phase power sources are fully de-energized and locked out before attempting installation or maintenance. Allow at least 15 minutes for the servo amplifier's internal bus capacitors to discharge completely. Verify zero voltage across the DC bus terminals before disconnecting any wiring.
Mount the motor securely to a rigid, vibration-free machine base using high-tensile bolts.
Align the motor shaft precisely with the load shaft using a flexible coupling to prevent radial and axial bearing overload.
Connect the heavy-duty power cables (U, V, W, and Ground) and the encoder feedback cable, ensuring all seals are tight to maintain the IP44 rating.
Perform a manual shaft rotation test to verify free movement before applying control power.
