Installation Guidelines

To ensure proper operation of the proximity probe system, follow these standard practices:

• Avoid exceeding the maximum thread engagement limit of 15 mm for M10 x 1 threads to prevent binding.
• Install the probe case with the recommended installation torque of 7.5 N-m (66 in-lbf). Do not exceed 22.6 N-m (200 in-lbf) on the first three threads.
• Observe the minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) for the armored cable to prevent damage to the FEP jacket, stainless steel armor, and triaxial core.
• Verify that all connectors are clean and dry before assembly. Tighten coaxial connections to finger tight only. Do not exceed the maximum connector torque of 0.565 N-m (5 in-lbf).
• Maintain appropriate physical clearance from surrounding structural metals to prevent calibration errors.
