This integrated assembly combines a 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe and its matching Proximitor sensor into a single, self-contained housing. By mounting the Proximitor sensor directly in the housing lid, this design eliminates the need for an external extension cable and separate Proximitor junction enclosure, directly routing field wiring to the monitor rack. The housing is constructed from glass-reinforced, electrostatic-dissipating polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) thermoplastic, providing Type 4X and IP66 protection in harsh industrial environments.

Installation Guidelines

• Moisture Control: Prevent moisture entry from the conduit into the housing. Proper sealing of conduit entries using the supplied fittings and blanking plugs is required to maintain the IP66 and Type 4X environmental ratings.
• Grounding: Ensure the internal grounding liner and plate are properly connected. The conductive fiber PPS housing helps dissipate electrostatic charges.
• Resonance and Support: Additional sleeve support near the probe is recommended if combined B and C dimensions exceed 305 mm to avoid vibration resonance.
• Tightening Torque: Tighten the retaining nut to 29.5 N-m and the probe sleeve locknut to 39.3 N-m to maintain secure mechanical mounting.
