The TSXASY800C is the direct, conformally coated equivalent of the standard TSXASY800. In critical process sectors like petrochemicals or wastewater, the coated model must be deployed to avoid atmospheric electrochemical migration across fine traces. Both models occupy a single slot in the TSXRKY rack and utilize identical software configuration tables in EcoStruxure Control Expert.
When configuring channels for 4-20mA loop outputs, verify that the total load impedance on any individual channel does not exceed 600 Ohms. Exceeding this limit will cause loop voltage saturation, preventing the channel from driving the full 20mA. Ensure that the external 24V DC auxiliary power supply supplying the loops is fully stabilized and free of high-frequency noise.
Always secure the SUB-D 25 mating connector with its integrated fastening screws to ensure mechanical stability. It is essential to use shielded twisted-pair (STP) cable for all analog signals. The cable shield must be connected to the functional earth (FE) ground terminal at the rack end only; grounding both ends can create ground loops that induce control signal oscillations.
Confirm the backplane power is switched off. Inspect the rear connector pins of the TSXASY800C for damage before inserting it into the slot.
Insert the module into its designated rack slot, engaging the lower hook first, then pushing the upper latch until it locks firmly in place.
Wire the SUB-D 25 connector as per the standard channel configurations, ensuring proper segregation of power cables from low-voltage signal lines.
Secure the SUB-D 25 connector housing to the module front plate using the integrated retaining screws.
