Installation Guidelines

• Mounting: Designed for decentralized installation. Ensure the mounting surface is flat and capable of supporting the 8.20 kg weight, while allowing adequate airflow for cooling.

• Protection: The IP65 rating allows for operation in harsh environments; however, ensure all cable glands are properly tightened to maintain the integrity of the enclosure.

• Grounding: Connect the protective earth (PE) terminal to the system ground to ensure safety and effective EMC filtering.

• Control Unit: This Power Module requires a separate SINAMICS G120D Control Unit to function. Ensure the Control Unit is correctly mounted and locked onto the module interface.

• Cable Routing: Use shielded power and motor cables to comply with EMC requirements. Keep cable lengths within the limits specified in the official Siemens technical documentation.
