The 21000 Series aluminum housing is designed to shield standard English thread proximity systems. If physical installations demand high corrosion resistance (such as marine environments or sour gas processes), transition to the 24701 Stainless Steel housing assembly. Ensure that your probe sleeve length option matches actual target shaft recess dimensions; a mismatch will cause either severe tip collision or an out-of-range sensor gap failure.
Under thermal loading, the housing sleeve undergoes thermal expansion. For high-temperature turbine casings, compute the longitudinal expansion rate of the 6.2-inch aluminum and steel components to prevent drift in the physical voltage-gap calibration.
