Installation Guidelines

  • Chassis Slot Alignment: Insert the double-wide module into two adjacent chassis slot positions within the C200/C200E control processor chassis.
  • Redundant Configuration: When implementing C200/C200E in a redundant configuration, ensure two identical chassis are populated with matching modules in identical physical slot locations. Note that no standard I/O modules can be inserted into the redundant C200 control chassis.
  • Removal and Insertion Under Power (RIUP): Module insertion and removal under power is permitted in ordinary, non-hazardous locations. RIUP is NOT permitted when equipment is installed in Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations without a hot work permit.
  • Cooling & Spacing: Maintain a minimum chassis-to-cabinet vertical distance of 15.2 cm (6.0 in.) and horizontal distance of 10.2 cm (4.0 in.) to ensure adequate ventilation.
