Unlike standard unarmored configurations like the 330101, the 330102 includes protective stainless steel flexible armor, making it suitable for environments with high mechanical stress or abrasion. It is designed to work in conjunction with a 3300 XL Proximitor sensor and standard extension cable to form a complete non-contact eddy-current proximity system.

Installation Guidelines
Ensure standard mounting practices are observed during probe installation. Tighten the probe body to the recommended torque limits and do not exceed the maximum thread engagement length of 0.563 in (14.3 mm) to avoid binding. Maintain a minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) for the armored cable sheath. The probe tip must be kept clear of adjacent metal by a minimum side-view clearance diameter of 40 mm (1.6 in) to prevent measurement interference.
