Mount the chassis containing the modules securely inside a standard 19-inch equipment rack system or a designated panel cutout. Verify that the structural framework supports the collective weight of the populated unit and heavy-gauge rear terminal wiring harnesses.
Establish a secure grounding path from the rear-chassis grounding stud to the main station ground busbar. Use a low-impedance copper wire with a minimum gauge of 10 AWG (or 4.0 mm square), ensuring all non-conductive coatings or paint are scraped away at the terminal junction point.
All secondary lines coming from external current transformers must pass through an dedicated external shorting block mechanism before connecting to the rear terminal blocks of the unit. Never clear or open-circuit an active CT secondary circuit. Use proper ring-tongue terminal lugs and copper conductors rated for 90 degC or higher.
The 8N module utilizes modern blue labeling characteristics. Ensure it is exclusively paired with matching blue-labeled central processing units (including variants 9E, 9G, 9H, 9J, 9K, 9L, 9M, 9N, 9P, 9R, or 9S) to prevent physical hardware mismatches or critical system faults.
