Ensure that connected PDs (Powered Devices) conform strictly to IEEE 802.3af/at standards to prevent power negotiation faults.
When operating at the upper thermal limit of 60 degC, maintain at least 20 mm of lateral clearance from adjacent heat-producing components on the DIN rail. High PoE loads generate significant internal thermal dissipation; operating at maximum PoE budget inside unventilated, sealed enclosures can lead to thermal throttling or premature component aging.
Always utilize shielded twisted pair (STP) Cat5e or Cat6 cabling in high-noise industrial environments to mitigate electromagnetic interference (EMI). Ensure the switch housing is properly grounded via the functional earth contact on the DIN rail mounting clip to protect sensitive internal circuitry from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and line surges.
