Description

330703-000-100-10-11-05 is an unarmored, metric-threaded 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Probe configured with a M14 x 1.5 thread, 0 mm of unthreaded length, a 100 mm overall case length, a 1.0 meter total length FluidLoc cable, a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with an integrated connector protector, and Multiple Approvals.

This configuration incorporates a specialized FluidLoc cable (Option 11) which features an internal block designed to prevent lubrication oil or process fluids from migrating through the inside of the triaxial cable. In addition, the factory-installed connector protector seals the critical probe-to-extension cable junction against environmental contaminants, while the unarmored M14 x 1.5 case allows direct installation into standard machinery housings without the extra routing bulk or bend limits associated with stainless steel armor options.

Features

  • M14 x 1.5 metric threaded configuration (base model 330703) without stainless steel armor for direct installation in standard machinery casings.
  • Option 000 unthreaded length providing a fully threaded 0 mm unthreaded probe body to optimize case engagement.
  • Option 100 overall case length specifying a 100 mm long threaded stainless steel casing.
  • Option 10 total length indicating a 1.0 meter (3.3 feet) integrated triaxial probe cable.
  • Option 11 FluidLoc cable type designed with a internal block to halt moisture and oil migration inside the cable.
  • Miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with an integrated connector protector to guard the connector junction against severe fluids.
  • Option 05 Multiple Approvals package certified for ATEX, IECEx, and CSA hazardous area installations.
  • Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) probe tip bonded structurally to the AISI 304 stainless steel probe case.

Applications

  • Axial thrust position measurements on utility steam and gas turbines.
  • Ramp differential expansion measurements in large-scale power generation machinery.
  • Radial vibration and shaft position monitoring on fluid-film bearing systems.
  • Rod drop and rod position measurements in critical reciprocating compressors.
  • Tachometer and zero-speed sensing applications.
  • Phase reference (Keyphasor) signal generation for speed and phase tracking.

Installation Guidelines

  • Observe the maximum thread engagement limit of 21 mm for the M14 x 1.5 probe case to prevent binding or thread deformation during assembly.
  • Utilize the recommended installation torque of 21.1 N-m (187 in-lb) during mounting, and never exceed the maximum rated limit of 63.3 N-m (560 in-lb).
  • Ensure the target area on the observed machinery shaft has a flat surface diameter of at least 30.5 mm (1.2 in) and the overall shaft diameter is at least 152 mm (6.0 in).
  • Establish the initial physical gap setting of 2.5 mm (100 mils) from the target to operate within the linear center of the transducer calibration curve.
  • Do not expose the probe assembly to operating temperatures below -34 degC in systems requiring active pressure sealing to avoid degrading the Viton O-ring seal.
  • Maintain a continuous minimum cable bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) to prevent coaxial signal degradation or conductor wear.
  • Verify that the factory-installed connector protector is fully seated over the miniature coaxial ClickLoc junction to prevent oil or moisture entry.

Compliance and Certifications

  • ATEX/IECEx: Intrinsically Safe (Ex ia IIC T5...T1 Ga) and Non-Sparking/Increased Safety (Ex nA IIC T5...T1 Gc, Ex ec IIC T5...T1 Gc) when installed per Bently Nevada drawings.
