  • Ensure proper alignment of the 3300 XL 8 mm probe tip with the shaft target surface (minimum target diameter 15.2 mm).
  • Set the nominal gap to 1.27 mm (50 mils) corresponding to the midpoint of the linear range.
  • Apply standard torque values: 29.5 N-m (260 in-lb) for the retaining nut and 39.3 N-m (350 in-lb) for the probe sleeve locknut.
  • Avoid routing field wiring near high-voltage lines or sources of heavy electromagnetic fields. Maximum field wiring length should not exceed 305 meters (1000 feet).
