Description

330902-00-95-10-02-00: 3300 NSv proximity probe with 1/4-28 UNF thread and integrated stainless steel armor, Option 00 fully threaded, and Option 00 agency approvals not required. This configuration is built with a 9.5 in overall case length (Option 95) and a 1.0 m (39 in) total coaxial cable length (Option 10) terminating in a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with standard cable (Option 02).

Unlike non-armored variants like the 330901 or configurations equipped with integrated connector protectors, this probe features rugged mechanical armor protecting the cable against abrasion, cuts, and environmental debris. The compact 1/4-28 UNF threaded housing makes it suitable for installation in tight spaces and restricted machinery cavities where standard 8 mm proximity probes cannot fit. It operates in conjunction with a 3300 XL NSv Proximitor sensor and extension cable to measure non-contact static and dynamic displacement on small rotating shafts.

Features

  • Integrated stainless steel armor provides mechanical protection from industrial wear and structural hazards.
  • Option 00 unthreaded length specifies a fully threaded 1/4-28 UNF case for installation in shallow-depth recess mounts.
  • Option 95 provides a 9.5 in overall case length for reaching deep-set monitoring targets in machinery housing.
  • Option 10 total length specifies a 1.0 m (39 in) integrated probe cable.
  • Option 02 terminates the cable in a gold-plated miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with standard cable insulation.
  • Option 00 is configured for non-hazardous general-purpose installations.
  • Gold-plated brass ClickLoc connectors provide a secure, vibration-resistant connection.
  • TipLoc molding forms a high-strength chemical bond between the polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) tip and the stainless steel body.

Applications

Typical application environments include rotating machinery protection on high-speed pumps, centrifugal compressors, and aeroderivative gas turbines. It is suited for radial vibration and axial position measurements in compact bearing housings, machine casings, and installations where mechanical clearances are limited and standard-size eddy-current probes cannot be mounted.

Installation Guidelines

Verify that the tapped mounting hole is clean and that a tap drill of size #3 or larger is used during the machining of the 1/4-28 internal threads. Do not exceed the maximum case thread torque of 7.3 N-m (65 in-lb) during probe insertion; a tightening torque of 5.1 N-m (45 in-lb) is recommended. Ensure the armored cable is routed with a bend radius of no less than 25.4 mm (1.0 in). Protect the coaxial ClickLoc connections from turbine oil and fluids using silicone self-fusing tape or suitable connector protectors.

Compliance and Certifications

This proximity probe is compliant with the following standards and directives when installed in a compatible transducer system:

  • EMC Directive: 2014/30/EU (EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4)
  • RoHS Directive: 2011/65/EU
  • China RoHS: 15-year Environment-Friendly Use Period (EFUP)
  • Functional Safety: SIL 2 (HFT=0) or SIL 3 (HFT=1) certified as part of a safety system
  • Agency Approvals Option 00: Certified for general-purpose, non-hazardous area environments
