Description

330906-02-12-10-02-00: 3300 NSv Reverse Mount Probe with 3/8-24 UNF-2A threads, featuring a 0.2-inch unthreaded length, a 1.2-inch overall case length, a 1.0-meter total cable length, standard ClickLoc coaxial connectors, and no agency approvals. This eddy-current proximity probe is used in 3300 XL NSv transducer systems to perform non-contact shaft vibration and axial position measurements in rotating machinery with limited target size or tight clearances. The reverse-mount configuration is engineered for installations where the probe must be threaded from the rear of the mounting bracket or sleeve, keeping the cable connection protected within the machine casing.

The 330906 model operates with an average scale factor of 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil) over a 1.5 mm (60 mils) linear range. This specific variant is supplied with a 1.0-meter standard coaxial cable without stainless steel armor or external connector protectors. It pairs directly with the 3300 NSv extension cable (330930) and 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor (330980) to form a complete 5-meter or 7-meter transducer system calibrated to AISI 4140 steel targets.

Features

  • 3/8-24 UNF-2A Threading: Designed specifically for reverse-mount machinery installations.
  • 0.2-inch Unthreaded Length: Standard Option 02 configuration for minimal unthreaded clearance.
  • 1.2-inch Case Length: Compact Option 12 overall probe case dimension.
  • 1.0-meter Coaxial Cable: Option 10 integrated standard 75-ohm coaxial cable.
  • ClickLoc Coaxial Connector: Option 02 miniature male connector without external connector protection.
  • No Approvals Required: Option 00 designated for standard non-hazardous industrial environments.
  • Small Target Performance: Calibrated for targets down to 8.9 mm (0.35 in) in diameter.

Applications

  • Radial shaft vibration and axial position monitoring on high-speed compressors and turbomachinery.
  • Aeroderivative gas turbines with highly confined target areas and restricted physical access.
  • Internal gearboxes and auxiliary machinery where probes must mount through brackets inside casings.
  • Industrial centrifugal pumps, fans, and compact rotating equipment monitoring chains.

Installation Guidelines

Ensure the 330906-02-12-10-02-00 reverse-mount probe is threaded into a 3/8-24 UNF-2A tapped hole from the rear of the mounting bracket or sleeve. Tighten the probe casing to a recommended torque of 7.5 N-m (66 in-lb), taking care not to exceed the absolute maximum limit of 22.6 N-m (200 in-lb). The probe gap must be set using a voltmeter at 1.0 mm (40 mils) from the target surface for optimal linear range response. Keep ClickLoc connectors clean, dry, and free of turbine oil or moisture. Route the standard coaxial cable with a minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) to prevent internal conductor damage.

Bently Nevada 330906-02-12-10-02-00 3300 NSv Reverse Mount Probe

What does the 330906-02-12-10-02-00 model number specify?

This specific part number configures a 3300 NSv reverse-mount probe with 3/8-24 UNF-2A threads, a 0.2-inch unthreaded length, a 1.2-inch overall case length, a 1.0-meter total cable length, standard ClickLoc coaxial connectors, and no agency approvals.

How does a reverse-mount probe differ from a standard-mount probe?

A reverse-mount probe is threaded from the rear of its body. This allows it to be threaded into a mounting bracket or sleeve from the inside out, keeping the probe cable and connector securely protected inside the machine casing.

Which extension cable and sensor are compatible with this probe?

The probe is designed for the 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System. It must be paired with a 3300 NSv 330930 extension cable and a 3300 XL NSv 330980 Proximitor Sensor to form a complete 5-meter or 7-meter system.

What are the thread and cable specifications for this configuration?

This model features 3/8-24 UNF-2A outer threads, a 1.0-meter standard coaxial cable without armor, and standard miniature male ClickLoc connectors.
