Description

Option 02 (20 mm unthreaded length) and Option 10 (100 mm case length) specify this metric 3300 NSv proximity probe configuration - 330910-02-10-70-01-00, featuring integrated stainless steel armor, a 7.0-meter total cable length (Option 70), a ClickLoc connector with a connector protector (Option 01), and standard agency approvals not required (Option 00).

Unlike the unarmored metric sibling configurations (such as model 330905), this 330910 variant includes robust stainless steel armor to shield the coaxial cable from physical wear, abrasion, and environmental damage in industrial installations. This probe is part of the 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System, which is specifically designed for small-bore machines or applications where target area clearances are extremely tight.

Features

  • Option 02 configuration provides a 20 mm unthreaded section paired with a 100 mm overall case length for precise positioning in metric threaded casings.
  • Option 70 specifies a 7.0-meter overall cable length, designed to match the required system length of the transducer chain.
  • Option 01 integrates a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with a pre-installed fluorosilicone connector protector for added moisture resistance and shielding.
  • Stainless steel armor provides mechanical durability for the 75-ohm coaxial cable, preventing damage from debris or high-stress routing.
  • Designed with an M10x1 metric thread to fit standard mount installations on rotating machinery.

Applications

  • Radial vibration and axial position measurements on shafts smaller than 20 mm (0.8 in).
  • Shaft displacement monitoring in aeroderivative gas turbines and centrifugal compressors with limited target geometry.
  • Vibration monitoring in small-bore rotating machinery and fluid-film bearings.
  • Tight clearance machinery applications where standard 8 mm or larger probes cannot be installed.

Installation Guidelines

  • Mount the probe using the recommended torque of 11.3 N m (100 in lb) for M10x1 metric casings. Do not exceed the maximum rated torque of 33.9 N m (300 in lb).
  • Ensure the target gap is set to approximately 1.0 mm (40 mils) for an optimal starting measurement point.
  • Maintain a minimum clearance around the probe tip of 9.5 mm (0.375 in) to prevent side-wall interference from the mounting borehole.
  • Keep a minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) for the armored coaxial cable during routing.

Compliance and Certifications

This configuration (Option 00) is standard and does not require hazardous area agency certifications. The general 3300 XL NSv system is designed to meet standard CE emission and immunity requirements and is RoHS compliant when used as part of a complete compatible system configuration.

Technical Datasheet

Bently Nevada 330910-02-10-70-01-00 3300 NSv Proximity Probes

What does the 330910-02-10-70-01-00 configuration represent?

This model code specifies a metric M10x1 threaded probe with stainless steel armor, a 20 mm unthreaded length, a 100 mm overall case length, a 7.0-meter cable, a ClickLoc connector with a connector protector, and no agency approval requirements.

Can this probe be connected directly to a Proximitor sensor?

Yes, with its 7.0-meter cable length, it connects directly to a compatible 7.0-meter system length 3300 XL NSv Proximitor sensor without the need for an extension cable.

What is the recommended installation torque for this probe?

For this M10x1 metric threaded probe casing, the recommended installation torque is 11.3 N m (100 in lb), up to a maximum limit of 33.9 N m (300 in lb).

Why is the connector protector option useful for this probe?

The ClickLoc connector protector (Option 01) is made of fluorosilicone material and provides environmental protection and moisture isolation for the probe-to-cable connection, which is crucial in damp or contaminated environments.
