The 3500/92 communication gateway module is used to transfer monitoring data from the 3500 Machinery Protection System to external PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI platforms through Ethernet and serial communication interfaces. It supports Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU communication for rack measurement values, alarm statuses, and system condition monitoring.
The module communicates with other rack components through the internal high-speed backplane and supports RS232, RS422, and RS485 serial interfaces depending on the installed I/O module configuration. Ethernet communication is provided through an RJ45 connection for integration with industrial control networks.
The 3500/92-03-01-00 Ethernet/RS232 Modbus I/O Module is commonly used in machinery monitoring applications where vibration protection data must be shared with plant automation systems. The 136180-01 3500/92 Communication Gateway Module supports communication with Bently Nevada configuration and data acquisition software through proprietary Ethernet-based protocols.
The 3500/92 is intended for static process variables and alarm communication. Dynamic waveform collection and transient diagnostic functions are handled separately through the 3500/22M Transient Data Interface module.
