Description

Option 28 (3300 XL 8 mm probe with Multiple Approvals) and Option 05 (50 mm standoff adapter) specify this metric PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer configuration — 330881-28-05-035-01-02.

This self-contained proximity probe assembly eliminates the need for an extension cable by housing both the 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe and the 3300 XL Proximitor sensor inside a molded thermoplastic enclosure. Made from glass-reinforced polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) infused with conductive fibers, the housing provides mechanical durability and dissipates electrostatic charges. Installation Guidelines

Ensure the probe gap is set within the 3300 XL 8 mm sensor's linear range. Maintain proper separation of transducer tips (at least 40 mm for axial or 38 mm for radial measurements) to limit cross-talk under 50 mV. The sleeve must be secured with the probe sleeve locknut torqued to 39.3 N-m (350 in-lb). The retaining nut must be torqued to 29.5 N-m (260 in-lb). Grounding must be properly terminated, and precautions should be taken to prevent moisture from traveling through the conduit into the housing.
