Description

The 3500/15-02-00-00 is a high voltage AC power supply module designed for the 3500 Series Machinery Protection System. This half-height module installs into specialized slots on the left side of the 3500 rack to convert high voltage AC input into regulated voltages required by other system modules. Operating as a single supply or in a redundant dual-supply configuration, the 3500/15-02-00-00 ensures uninterrupted rack operation. In a dual setup, the lower slot houses the primary supply and the upper slot contains the backup supply; removing or inserting either module does not disrupt system operation.   • Redundancy Configuration: When deploying two power supplies for redundancy, place the primary supply in the lower slot and the backup supply in the upper slot.
  • Grounding: Securely connect the structural ground to the GND terminal on the rear Power Input Module to mitigate electromagnetic interference and ensure electrical safety.
  • Over-voltage Protection: Ensure the power source does not exceed 264 Vac rms, as over-voltage conditions will open the protective fuse on the PIM.
  • Hot-Swapping: When swapping modules, verify that at least one power supply remains active and operational to prevent system downtime.
