Description

Designed for high-precision thermal monitoring within the Sysmac automation platform, the Omron NX-TS2104 temperature input module provides dual-channel thermocouple interfacing with rapid processing capabilities. This compact I/O unit integrates seamlessly into the Omron NX Series bus system, delivering reliable temperature measurements for closed-loop control applications. Operating on a free-run refreshing method, it features a fast conversion time of 60 ms per unit and achieves an exceptional resolution of 0.001 degC maximum, ensuring highly responsive and stable tracking of thermal dynamics.

The NX-TS2104 supports a broad selection of standard industrial thermocouple types, facilitating straightforward integration with existing sensor networks. Its robust electrical design incorporates transformer and digital isolator technology to isolate signal paths between the input channels, as well as between the inputs and the internal NX bus. Wiring is simplified through a high-density, 16-point screwless clamping terminal block, which reduces installation time and minimizes the risk of loose connections in high-vibration environments.

  • Route thermocouple extension wires away from high-voltage AC cables, motor drives, and other electromagnetic noise sources.
  • Ensure the shielding of the thermocouple cables is correctly grounded according to local industrial electrical codes.
