Description

The CI854BK01 serves as a master communication interface designed to connect remote I/O and fieldbus instruments to the AC 800M controller via the PROFIBUS DP protocol. This module enables high-speed data exchange with interconnected field devices—including remote I/O, drives, low-voltage electrical equipment, and controllers. Operating as a PROFIBUS master, it features two distinct channels to implement line redundancy and actively supports PROFIBUS master redundancy. Master redundancy is realized by deploying two communication interface modules, which can be combined with CPU redundancy and CEXbus redundancy. The system interfaces directly with the S800 I/O system as well as other PROFIBUS DP/DP-V1 and FOUNDATION Fieldbus proficient systems.
