This physical sensor interface processes high-frequency radio frequency (RF) signals received from a proximity probe and extension cable, translating them into a highly accurate continuous voltage output. This output is directly proportional to the static or dynamic distance between the proximity probe tip and the observed conductive target material.

The sensor is optimized for challenging industrial environments, offering high resistance to electromagnetic interference and exceptional thermal stability. Installation Guidelines

• Ensure the Proximitor sensor is mounted in a protective, weather-tight enclosure when deployed in outdoor or harsh chemical environments.
• Use the supplied isolation mounting plate to isolate the metallic housing of the sensor from the structural chassis ground, preventing ground loop interference.
• Always match the sensor configuration (9.0 meters) with the corresponding probe and extension cable system length for correct signal calibration.
• Observe minimum bend radius limits when routing the coaxial probe and extension cables to avoid signal degradation.
