Description

21504-00-08-05-02: 7200 series 8 mm standard mount proximity probe, featuring 0.0 in (Option 00) unthreaded length, 0.8 in (Option 08) case length, 0.5 m (Option 05) total cable length, and a miniature male coaxial connector (Option 02). This transducer is part of the 7200 5 mm and 8 mm proximity transducer system, which utilizes the eddy current principle to provide non-contacting displacement measurement between the probe tip and the observed machine surface. The system is designed for shaft vibration and axial position monitoring on critical rotating machinery, including gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, and pumps. This 8 mm probe configuration is constructed of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), a plastic capable of withstanding harsh, wet, or chemically active environments. It provides a linear measuring range of 80 mils (2 mm) with a scale factor of 200 mV/mil (7.87 V/mm).
