Connecting this probe to a Proximitor designed for 0.5-meter systems will lead to calibration distortion, causing substantial output voltage measurement errors.
Because this is a threadless 50 mm case probe, ensure the mounting clamp or sleeve provides sufficient gripping surface without deforming the outer stainless steel sleeve. A minimum clearance of 40 mm (1.6 inches) must be maintained between adjacent proximity probes to avoid mutual electromagnetic field interference, commonly referred to as cross-talk.
When joining the gold-plated miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector to the extension cable, clean the contacts with electronic contact cleaner before connection. The factory-provided connector protector must be fully secured over the junction. When securing the probe inside bracket mounts, verify that the Viton O-ring is properly positioned in the groove to prevent process fluids from bypassing the mounting surface.
