Proper installation requires correct probe gapping and cable routing. The linear range of the 25 mm system begins at approximately 0.63 mm (25 mils) from the target surface. Secure the probe using the supplied locknut with predrilled safety wire holes. Torque the M30x2 threaded case to the recommended torque of 68 N-m (50 ft-lb). Ensure that the connectors are kept dry and protected using connector protectors. Avoid exposing the cable to sharp bends; observe a minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in).
This probe complies with European CE markings and is approved for hazardous environments under option 05 (Multiple Approvals). This includes Class I, Zone 0, AEx/Ex ia IIC T5...T1 Ga intrinsically safe installations when used with approved Zener barriers or galvanic isolators, as well as Division 2 non-incendive classifications.
