If the probe is installed against smaller targets or close to side walls, ensure the mechanical clearance is at least equal to the probe tip diameter to prevent side-wall interference (cross-talk) or severe calibration drift. Thermal expansion of the AISI 304 probe body must also be calculated in high-temperature environments to avoid mechanical zero-drift.
Cleanliness of the ClickLoc connector during installation is critical. Microscopic oil films or moisture on the connector contacts can degrade the high-frequency RF path, manifesting as high-frequency noise or "spikes" in the vibration monitor. Use a non-residue contact cleaner and seal the connection with self-vulcanizing tape or a connector protector kit if the joint is located inside an oil-mist environment.
