Tutto sui PLC: la CPU
A practical engineering guide to PLC CPU operation, from deterministic scan cycles and I/O image tables to memory, communications, diagnostics, redundancy, processor sizing, and reliable system...
The GE Fanuc IC670MDL642 is a high-density 125 VDC discrete input module designed for signal acquisition within the Field Control distributed I/O architecture. Functioning as a high-voltage field sensor interface, this module converts incoming 125 VDC discrete signals from plant field switches, relays, and field contactors into internal logic-level signals used by the station CPU or master interface unit.
Occupying a single slot position on a compatible Field Control I/O Terminal Block, the module houses 16 input points organized into two isolated groups. It provides a reliable input link between field-level control hardware and central processing equipment in industrial control stations. Internal logic power for module operation is supplied directly via the 6.5 VDC backplane bus generated by the Field Control Bus Interface Unit (BIU).
