Honeywell TC-FPDXX2 Uncoated Series-A Power Supply

Quantità

Product Description

The Honeywell TC-FPDXX2 is an uncoated Series-A non-redundant power supply module designed to deliver reliable DC operating power to modules installed within an Experion LX / Experion LS Chassis Series-A platform. Mounted directly onto the left side of the chassis backplane without consuming an I/O slot, the TC-FPDXX2 converts a nominal 24 VDC input into four regulated backplane output voltages—1.2 VDC, 3.3 VDC, 5.1 VDC, and 24.0 VDC—providing up to 70 W total power output to support controller, network, and I/O module operations.

Features

  • Non-redundant chassis-side mounting designed to power backplane modules without consuming an I/O slot position.
  • Wide DC input range from 19.2 to 32 VDC with tolerance for temporary drops down to 16 VDC during motor starting conditions.
  • Quad-voltage DC backplane output supplying 1.2 VDC, 3.3 VDC, 5.1 VDC, and 24.0 VDC.
  • High total power output capability delivering up to 70 W at 60 degC.
  • Integrated non-replaceable soldered fuse protection for enhanced short-circuit and fire hazard prevention.

Applications

  • Experion LS and C200E process control chassis power distribution.
  • Distributed Control Systems (DCS) operating in 24 VDC plant power environments.
  • Remote I/O chassis assemblies requiring internal backplane logic power.

Installation Guidelines

  • Mounting Position: Install directly onto the left end of the Series-A chassis backplane. Ensure the power module interlocks properly with the chassis structure.
  • Wiring Requirements: Connect incoming DC power using #14 AWG (1.4 mm) wire to match terminal specifications. Maintain correct input polarity during installation.
  • Power Load Calculation: Calculate total power consumption of all populated backplane modules to ensure combined output power on 1.2 V, 3.3 V, 5.1 V, and 24.0 V rails does not exceed the 70 W limit at 60 degC.
  • Thermal & Clearance: Maintain adequate vertical and horizontal clearance around the chassis assembly to allow proper convective cooling and prevent ambient temperatures from exceeding 60 degC.

Compliance and Certifications

  • UL 508 Industrial Control Equipment
  • Class I, Div 2, Groups A, B, C & D Hazardous and Ordinary locations
  • 89/336/EEC, EMC Directive (EN 50081-2 Emissions, EN 50082-2 Immunity)
