Designed to handle complex control tasks in demanding industrial environments, the FX3U-128MT/ES-A functions as a high-performance, compact base controller within the Mitsubishi Electric MELSEC FX3U series. This main unit is equipped with a high density of integrated points, featuring 128 local I/O channels split evenly between digital inputs and transistor outputs. It features high-speed processing capabilities, an integrated real-time clock, and a large program capacity, making it suitable for high-speed positioning, machine synchronization, and advanced factory automation systems.
The unit operates on a wide-range AC power supply and can be seamlessly expanded to manage up to 384 I/O points when paired with modular extension blocks or special function adapters. High-speed counter inputs and three integrated pulse outputs provide built-in multi-axis positioning and motion control without requiring dedicated motion modules.

To ensure reliable operation and thermal management, install the base unit horizontally on a flat surface or standard 35 mm DIN rail. Provide at least 50 mm of clearance space above and below the unit for adequate ventilation. Verify that the power supply wiring is connected to the designated L and N terminals, and ensure a dedicated Class D ground (100 Ohms or less ground resistance) is connected to the protective earth terminal. Route high-voltage AC power cables separately from low-voltage DC input/output signals to prevent electromagnetic interference.
