Description

Option 14 (1.4 in unthreaded length) and Option 43 (4.3 in overall case length) specify this particular 3300 NSv proximity probe configuration — 330901-14-43-05-02-05. Used for non-contact shaft displacement measurements in tight clearances, this eddy-current sensor features a 1/4-28 UNF thread without armor and a 0.5 m (20 in) coaxial cable terminated in a miniature ClickLoc connector. It is designed specifically for small-bore machinery, high-speed gearboxes, and aeroderivative turbines with restricted target sizes or side-view clearances.

Unlike variants equipped with stainless steel armor (such as the 330902 series) or FluidLoc chemical-sealing cables, this unarmored configuration offers maximum flexibility in clean conduits and tight mounting bores. The standard coaxial cable with a gold-plated miniature ClickLoc connector prevents connector loosening in environments prone to mild vibration without the bulk of an added connector protector (Option 02). This configuration is certified for hazardous areas under the Multiple Approvals option (Option 05).

Installation Guidelines

• Torque Limits: Do not exceed the maximum rated installation torque of 5.1 N-m (45 in-lb) for 1/4-28 UNF probe cases.
• Minimum Bend Radius: Maintain a minimum cable bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) for coaxial routing.
• Cross-Talk Prevention: When installing multiple radial or X-Y probe pairs, keep probe tips separated by at least 23 mm (0.9 in).
• Thread Engagement: Avoid binding by limiting thread engagement to a maximum of 1.5 times the nominal thread diameter.
• Field Wiring: Use three-conductor shielded triad field wiring (0.2 to 1.5 mm2 or 16 to 24 AWG) to connect the Proximitor Sensor to the monitor.
