Description

The SB401-50 is the ESB Bus Slave Interface Module for Yokogawa CENTUM-VP FIO Node Units (ANB10S/ANB10D/ANB11S/ANB11D). It mounts on the A2BE2D Base Plate alongside PW481/PW482/PW484 PSU modules and FIO I/O modules, and connects via an A2EE1A ESB Bus Adapter + YCB301 dedicated cable (max. 10 m) to the FCU-side ESB Bus Coupler (EC401 or EC402) in AFV30/AFV40 Field Control Units. Dual-redundant node configurations use two SB401 modules per node. The ESB bus runs at 128 Mbps, bus topology, redundancy available, max 13 ESB + Optical ESB Node Units per FCU.

Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING — De-energize PW48x PSU and verify lockout before handling SB401 on A2BE2D. The base plate backplane is live from the PSU module.

  1. PSU first — Install PW481/PW482/PW484 into A2BE2D's PSU slot; this powers the entire node backplane.
  2. SB401 slot — Insert SB401 onto A2BE2D guide rails, latch front. Dual nodes (ANB10D/ANB11D): populate two SB401 in the bus-interface positions.
  3. A2EE1A — Fit A2EE1A ESB Bus Adapter on SB401 front connector.
  4. Cabling to FCU — YCB301 from A2EE1A → FCU EC401 (1×, max 9 nodes) or EC402 (upper+lower, 9 each side). Total ≤13 ESB+Optical ESB nodes/FCU.
  5. Empty slots — Cover unused A2BE2D slots with ADCV01 (I/O/Bus IF) or ADCV02 (PSU).
