Description

The 330101-00-33-10-02-CN is a Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe designed for non-contact vibration and position measurement in eddy current transducer systems. The probe operates as part of the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System together with an extension cable and Proximitor sensor.

The system provides an output voltage proportional to the distance between the probe tip and a conductive target surface. It supports both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) measurements. Primary use includes monitoring fluid-film bearing machinery, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurement applications.

The probe integrates improved mechanical bonding technologies including TipLoc molding and CableLoc construction to enhance durability and tensile strength. The ClickLoc connector design provides secure, tool-free installation and stable electrical connection.

The probe is designed for interchangeability within the 3300 XL system architecture, maintaining compatibility with 5 mm and 8 mm legacy components when system configuration rules are observed.

Features

  • Eddy current non-contact displacement measurement probe
  • Compatible with 3300 XL 8 mm Proximitor Sensor system
  • TipLoc molded probe tip construction for improved mechanical integrity
  • CableLoc design providing high tensile strength cable retention
  • ClickLoc gold-plated coaxial connector with finger-tight locking mechanism
  • Optional FluidLoc cable design to reduce fluid ingress in machinery routing
  • Stainless steel probe case construction (AISI 303 or 304 SST)
  • Interchangeable with legacy 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm components under system rules
  • Designed for vibration, position, Keyphasor, and speed measurement applications

Applications

  • Fluid-film bearing vibration monitoring
  • Shaft radial vibration measurement
  • Axial position monitoring
  • Keyphasor and phase reference systems
  • Turbomachinery condition monitoring
  • Industrial rotating machinery diagnostics
  • Compressor and turbine monitoring systems

FAQ

What is the certified operating temperature range for the device tip and casing?

The operating temperature range for the probe tip and case is from -51 degC to +177 degC.

How can a technician verify if the probe cable has an open or short circuit?

Measure the resistance between the center pin and outer shell of the connector; a operational 1.0-meter probe should register a resistance between 4.0 and 8.0 ohms.

What target distance does the standard center gap voltage represent on this system?

A center gap voltage of -10.0 VDC corresponds to a distance of approximately 1.27 mm (50 mils) from the target surface.
