PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The 330101-00-34-10-02-CN is a high-performance eddy current sensor from the Bently Nevada 3300 XL series. This 8 mm proximity probe is engineered for non-contacting displacement measurements, specifically monitoring shaft vibration and axial position in critical rotating machinery.

This model features a 3/8-24 UNF thread and is supplied without armor, making it ideal for installations where the cable is routed through dedicated protective conduits or internal machine galleries. The CN approval ensures compliance with specific regional safety and hazardous area standards for the Chinese market.

FIELD ENGINEERING INSTALLATION GUIDE

1. Mounting and Gapping

Thread the probe into the mounting bracket or machine casing. To set the gap accurately, use a digital voltmeter to monitor the DC output of the Proximitor® sensor. Adjust the probe position until the voltage reads -9.0 VDC, which corresponds to the midpoint of the 80-mil linear range.

2. Securing the Probe

Once the gap is set, tighten the locknut to the recommended torque of 4.5 N·m (40 in-lb). Re-check the gap voltage after tightening; if the voltage has shifted significantly, loosen the nut and re-adjust.

3. Connector Management

The ClickLoc™ connector requires a firm push to engage. You should hear/feel a "click" indicating a secure electrical connection. Since this is the "without armor" version, ensure the coaxial cable is supported and not subjected to sharp edges or high-tension pulling during routing.

4. System Length Consistency

This probe has a 1.0m total length. To ensure the system remains within calibration, it must be used with a 4.0m or 8.0m extension cable to achieve a total system length of 5.0m or 9.0m, matching the Proximitor® sensor's requirements.
