Description

The Allen-Bradley 1756-IF16 is a ControlLogix non-isolated analog voltage and current input module designed to convert analog field signals into digital data for processing by ControlLogix controllers. It provides 16 single-ended, 8 differential, or 4 high-speed differential input channels with selectable input ranges including +/-10V, 0...10V, 0...5V, and 0...20 mA. Operating across the ControlLogix backplane using Producer/Consumer technology, the 1756-IF16 enables efficient input data sharing across multiple controllers on the network without requiring separate polling mechanisms.

Features

  • Supports 16 single-ended, 8 differential, or 4 high-speed differential input channels
  • Selectable input ranges: +/-10V DC, 0...10V DC, 0...5V DC, and 0...20 mA DC
  • On-board digital filtering and input scaling to engineering units
  • Real-time sampling with customizable channel scanning speeds
  • Under-range, over-range, and wire-off fault detection per channel
  • Compatible with 36-pin Removable Terminal Block (RTB) housings

Applications

  • Process control monitoring in oil, gas, and chemical facilities
  • Temperature, pressure, and flow monitoring systems
  • Factory automation analog signal processing
  • Water and wastewater treatment monitoring
  • Power generation and energy management systems
